"Hurrah for the Red, White and Blue"
I love the fun patriotic times of summer! Warm unstructured days, wearing shorts and sandals. I was inspired to create a summer time series and what better theme than red, white and blue?
All of these paintings are

This was a thirty day project assigned by my professor in one of my art classes. We had to create a piece of art and post it on Instagram every day for thirty days.
I had to choose a simple subject or theme because I had to produce a painting each day. I love painting still lifes so I thought an apple would be the perfect subject.

My friend Julia is an artist in more ways than one. She paints beautifully but she also makes amazing cakes. I made this colored pencil drawing of the birthday cake she made for me. It was a treat and a surprise.
